Snail Trouble

We get a lot of snails in our garden in Malaysia. These are just a few I rounded up this morning.

Malaysian escargots?

They don’t seem to be voracious eaters of my plants – they could even be beneficial for all I know – but they do leave unsightly snail trails all over the walls and gate posts in our garden.

This makes them a pest but how to get rid of them?

Baking them in the oven with garlic and herb butter is one possibility but even if we could be certain that these are of the edible variety, nobody in our household would be willing to eat them.

I don’t have the heart to kill them so I will just take them out into the park area, a distance from my house, and let them go.

I expect they’ll be back tomorrow!
