North East Artists – Jim Harker

Here is a set of prints which I acquired last year. They are copies of original paintings by talented local artist Jim Harker.

Sunflowers by Jim Harker

Apparently, the idea behind them was to imagine what famous artists would have painted if they had spent time in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. So for example, Van Gogh’s Sunflowers might have been arranged in a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale instead of a vase.

Tyne Bridge in the style of Monet.
Gateshead Millennium Bridge in the style of Dali.

Hope you like them.
