Floria 2013, or the Putrajaya Flower and Garden Festival is being held this week. This popular annual event is Malaysia’s answer to the Chelsea Flower Show and usually pulls in big crowds.
This year however visitors have been put off by the unhealthy ‘haze’ that has been affecting Malaysia recently from burning forests in neighbouring Sumatra and attendance numbers so far seem lower than usual.
This grey-skied photo was taken yesterday but today the skies are clearer and the sun is out so hopefully Floria will enjoy a bumper final weekend.
This year’s theme is the Orchid and many fine specimens are on display.
Entrance is free so why not go along if you live nearby.
